Berlin, 3 December 2024<\/strong> – The provisional creditors’ committee has unanimously voted in favour of the transfer of the established and exercised business operations of ONOMOTION GmbH to Emoving GmbH. The transaction is part of the insolvency proceedings over the assets of ONOMOTION GmbH, which were initially initiated as provisional proceedings on 26 September 2024. The insolvency proceedings were opened on 1 December 2024. The transferring restructuring will also take place on 1 December 2024. This step will secure both the ONOMOTION brand and the product, the ONO e-cargobike, and transfer them to a new growth phase. In addition, all employees will be taken on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ONOMOTION GmbH had already signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a development and production partnership with DuTech Holdings Ltd, to which Emoving GmbH also belongs, in June 2024. The co-operation was continued during the provisional insolvency proceedings, as were the ongoing business operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long-term future of ONO and ONOMOTION secured
<\/strong>The reorganisation transferred to Emoving GmbH ensures that both the heavy-duty cargobike for sustainable logistics, ONO, and the ONOMOTION brand will continue to exist and be developed further. \u2018ONOMOTION is more than a brand – it is a promise of innovation and quality,\u2019 explains Mr Rolf Hellenbrand, CEO of Tri Star Inc. EUROPE, to which Emoving GmbH also belongs. \u2018Our priority will be to optimise the ONO and take the vehicle into new markets.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amicable agreement during the provisional insolvency
<\/strong>The insolvency administrator, Mrs Hoge-Peters, Hoge Gutsche Walter PG, is delighted with the successful conclusion: \u2018Not only has a strategically suitable partner been found in Emoving GmbH, but a long-term perspective has also been created for the employees, the vehicle and the brand. This is a success for everyone involved, especially for the employees, but also for ONOMOTION’s customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strong foundation for the future
<\/strong>Co-founder Philipp Kahle is optimistic about the next steps: \u2018ONO and ONOMOTION are the result of years of development work. Through the takeover, we can ensure that this work continues and that our vision of sustainable mobility becomes a reality.
