ONOMOTION wins Auto Motor and Sport Safety & Environment Award 2022  

Berlin, 22. September 2022 – ONOMOTION is the winner of this year’s auto motor and sport safety & environment award. As a leading manufacturer of e-cargo bikes, the company offers an environmentally friendly and intelligent alternative for transporting goods in urban areas. The joint road safety and sustainability award from auto motor und sport and the HUK-COBURG insurance group is endowed with 10,000 euros and was presented today at the 13th auto motor und sport KONGRESS in Stuttgart.

Radically rethinking logistics denken

ONOMOTION is a European technology company based in Berlin that has developed comprehensive solutions to make urban delivery transport not only more environmentally friendly and quieter, but also more effective. The central element is the e-cargo bike ONO, which replaces conventional delivery trucks on the last mile of delivery. This is made possible, among other things, by powerful electric motorization and because the partially enclosed cabin allows comfortable use in all seasons. “Our goal is to radically rethink urban logistics. The interchangeable container modules allow our ONOs to be integrated into more effective logistics processes overall, contributing to a sustainable urban ecosystem,” says Philipp Kahle, one of the company’s founders and managing directors.

A key element of this urban logistics transformation is the urgent need to ease traffic flow. “All of us are familiar with the problem of parked-up lanes caused by delivery services,” says Jörg Mannsperger, managing director of Motor Presse Stuttgart, which publishes auto motor und sport. “ONOMOTION’s environmentally friendly transport solutions are thus not only an important contribution to avoiding local emissions, but also help to prevent traffic jams.”
