ONO @ the WIWIN Finals!
Where to start. It started with an email. “Congratulations, you have been shortlisted as the top 10 companies nominated for the prestigious WIWIN award”. The WIWIN award holds a special place for us. It promotes and helps develop innovative projects in the field of clean energy, renewables and technologies that are deemed to have a positive impact on the planet.
We came to find out that this was the easy part. In order to make the finals, i.e. Top 5, it came down to a popular vote from the community. We rallied friends, collaborators and our own community who helped us make it to the finals in a week-long process, with the vote going down to the wire.
Finally the day of the finals came, where Beres pitched with incredible poise. We ultimately found out that we lost out on first place by a marginal amount from the jury. It was bittersweet as this event was the culmination of weeks of efforts. However, it was indeed magical to see all the support, the sheer innovation and enthusiasm from all of the participating companies. It was an important sign of optimism and encouragement for all.
We feel proud and grateful for this opportunity as it provided an important platform for our project, and those of others, to gain valuable visibility. Thanks again to the entire ONO team, our friends and collaborators, as well as the WIWIN team who did a great job in organizing. It was truly encouraging to see everyone come together to promote positive innovation in the world. About ONO: We are an e-mobility startup based in Berlin, Germany.
