Meet Stefan: family dad, Product Designer, bike enthusiast & self-proclaimed cat person

Tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Stefan, family dad, product designer, bike enthusiast, cat person.

I live with my wife, two sons (5-year old and 5-month old) and two cats in Berlin and have called this city my home since 2008. In my free time I enjoy being with my family and friends, outside, going for bike trips or just staying at home and cooking something really nice.

To keep things running wild, there are always bigger and smaller projects keeping me busy – like building a new bamboo bike in my workshop or some cool new Lego inventions with my older son.

When did you join the team?

I’ve been working for ONOMOTION since June 2020. I’m a part of the Product Development team and focus on technical improvements to make the Ono experience even better.

What are some of the projects you’re working on?

During my studies at Weißensee Academy of Arts in Berlin and DAAP in Cincinnati, Ohio I focused on car free cities and projects on green mobility revolution. I’ve been following the early development of ONOMOTION for some time before I got lucky to discover an open position that fit my portfolio.

What can you tell us about your experience so far?

I joined the company at the beginning of the Covid pandemic and in Berlin we’ve been going through a number of regulations like lockdowns and home office. Situations like all the companies in the world have been facing for the last months. Still, there is this huge team spirit around the company and that keeps work fun and the general vibes always positive.

Despite the difficult times, it’s been a great improvement to my life, coming to this company.

We have a really cool product with the potential to make a real change in urban mobility. And a wonderful and talented team to make it happen in real-time.
